Adverbs and expressions of frequency
Put the class into small groups of four or five. Give each group a set of cards, face down. One student picks up a card. The student has to ask a question to try to get someone in their group to answer using the frequency expression / adverb on the card. So, for example, the student has picked up the HARDLY EVER card, and asks someone the members of the group ‘How often do you speak English on the phone?’ If someone in the group answers ‘Hardly ever’, the student wins a point. In teams students ask questions to elicit adverbs |
